Gohan, Jeongseon-gun in Gangwon Province was once a remote place that nobody wanted to visit. There was a time when people flocked from every corner of the country for its mines. The black stream ran through the village and the air was covered with black dust. After the mines were closed down, the village lost its vitality. Abandoned houses quickly turned shabby. Then a small miracle happened. Flowers started blooming in the abandoned allies, and laughter started spreading. Young people returned from the cities and started caring for their houses.
